I have never met a coach as genuine, professional and hard working as the CEO and lead coach of this company “Kelly Jones”.
Most of the time whenever I want to learn something new, I take my time to learn it properly; and in my journey, I’ve found most people don’t like that. Sometimes it may be because they don’t know about what I may be asking, other times because there is no time and some other occasions because they simply don’t care to invest the effort and hard work that it takes.
But Kelly Jones has marked a difference.
Not only is he extremely genuine (Which isn’t common in such a hard business as Motorsports) but he is also always willing to work just as hard as me which in my experience is extremely rare. Whenever he doesn’t know something not only does he recognize it with true humility, but he also researches it to make sure you learn what you need to learn.
He has worked incredibly hard to guide and support my journey and he is one of the few people that have truly earned my respect.
I believe everyone deserves respect until they lose the right to be respected but Kelly wasn’t just another person who didn’t lose the right to be respected, he actually earned my respect which truth be told it isn’t easy to do.
I only shared things about him as a person which personally I believe to be the most important thing but, for whoever isn’t interested in the person but is interested in the service know that he offers an amazing service and coaching for which he has a point-by-point process to guide you through your learning journey behind the wheel. The best way to replicate something amazing is with a process and I can honestly say I’ve received amazing coaching which was part of his process. Process he can repeat with you.

[RaceCraft1 Chief Instructor] Kelly Jones. To the Novice group, you are larger than life.  It’s truly astonishing that someone of your credentials, accomplishments, and reputation in the Motorsport world is willing to use his weekends providing encouragement and instruction to a group of novice drivers, some of whom literally have no idea what an apex is.  But here’s the thing about Kelly that any novice that has asked him a question will tell you.  No matter how small, misdirected and inarticulate the question was in retrospect, the question and driver were treated with the utmost respect and the feeling the novice walked away with is that the answer to that question was formulated with the same care as if the question was coming from an F16 pilot asking about the approach to a bombing run.  The ultimate professional, meeting us at whatever level we are currently at.  The richness added to our experience when we take our cars home, turn on the television and watch the top echelon drivers in Indy Car and NASCAR, knowing that the same coach that was willing to treat us with so much respect and kindness also had a big part in the development of many of those drivers.  That’s worth the price of admission in itself and the Novice group can’t thank Kelly enough for giving of his time.

This last weekend I attended my first track event of 2025, at NCM with NASA HPDE 3 group.  This was my first event after transitioning from HPDE 2 to 3. I had a spec Miata racer who was also instructing ride shotgun with me on my first session.  He also happened to have ridden with me on my last session of last year.  Short story, he immediately expressed how much faster, smoother and confident I was than last year, even though it was only the first time back on track this year.  I told him about my sim training with Kelly this winter, and he was impressed with how much of a difference it made. "As a driving enthusiast, I was looking for a cost-effective way to become a better driver. I track my car and I have learned that without proper instruction you really won’t get any faster or better by just doing more laps. If you want to be a better driver, you need quality training. RaceCraft1 really helped me. It is a cost-effective way to learn proper car handling on a very realistic simulator. The same way pilots have been doing it for decades. "The primary driving skills I wanted to work on with RaceCraft1 were car control, acceleration through turns with better entry and exit, brake onset, duration and release, and better track management. All were addressed in an organized and detailed outline while learning through the sim experience my weaknesses and corrections.
